The program

In spring 2007 the first round of the 12-day program Certified Business Architect was held at Stora Brännbo in Sigtuna, just outside of Stockholm. After some 2000 hours of course, method and theory development, the founders of Business Architecture; Linus Malmberg and Björn-Erik Willoch, both from Cordial Business Advisers and teachers in the program were ready for the first 30 students of the program. During 2007 three courses were held and from 2008 and onwards two courses have been held each year. Spring of 2011 will host the 10^th consecutive course in Business Architecture. In addition to the open program some 100 Business Architects have been educated in company tailored programs.

As a Business Architect you close the gap between business strategies and a company’s structures. The program enhances the students’ competence in the business strategy dimension as well as in the structural dimension to allow closure of the gap between business and IT and to allow flexibility to be built into the company’s Business models.

The Business Architecture program gives its participants a multidisciplinary competence base through deepening their knowledge within the areas of business strategy, Business models, processes and IT as well as offering methods and tools to connect them.

As a Business Architect you design competitive Business models. Through understanding and applying analysis, innovation and realization of Business models you create conditions for maneuverability on today’s fast moving markets.
